To This Day ... for the bullied and beautiful

一首有關霸凌的spoken word poem，
To This Day 聽詩人Shane Koyczan自己朗讀，
讓人感受被霸凌的灰暗世界。
Shane Koyczan說，
我們往往都成為別人眼中期望的我們，
而沒有堅持追尋自己的夢想。
因為一個事件，
讓Shane Koyczan被貼上標籤，
被冠上綽號，
他百般痛苦，
結果讓自己也成了霸凌。
他把學校比喻成馬戲團，
而自己就是 a freak，
...lobster claw boys and bearded ladies, oddities juggling depression
and loneliness,playing solitaire。
Shane Koyczan說出他內心深沉的痛，
也坦白說出他數度想要了結自己。
他以過來者的經驗，
告訴大家，
要看見自己的美。
... if you can't see anything beautiful about yourself,
get a better mirror, look a little closer, stare a little longer,
because there's something inside you that made you keep trying
despite everyone who told you to quit.
別人欺凌你，
隔絕你，
但是不要這樣就被擊敗，
選擇自殺。
要勇敢告訴自己： ...they were wrong.They have to be wrong.
看重自己，
會有路的。
Shane Koyczan語重心長說出 ...our lives will only ever always
continue to be a balancing act that has less to do with pain
and more to do with beauty.
人生有痛， 但更應有美。
