Lynn Johnston的漫畫作品：For Better or For Worse系列。
Middle age spread原本的意思為「中年發福，横向發展」（注意書的封面，詮釋地很有趣味）。
而書中對middle age spread的定義可由人物的對話了解：
Elly:It's a crazy time for me right now, Connie. My parents need
      me on one side of the country
     - And my family needs me on the other! -I've got kids at home,
       and one away...
      At a time in my life when I thought things would be easier,
       I'm stretched to the limit!
Connie: I know, El...
            It's what you call your "middle age spread".

這本書正是書中主角John和Elly的中年生活寫照。Lynn Johnston畫出也寫出中年人的心情故事。中年人閱讀這本書對於書中的喜怒哀樂應該更了然於心。

這一篇文章談到creative personality:
 Gifted people in the arts or science tend to enjoy adventure, and they often like to explore new places or ideas. They don't like being hemmed in by rules or convention and often look at problems from a different angle.

我們在班級經營是否也應保留更多的彈性，讓有創意的學生有發揮的天空？

文章中也提到The environment plays a role in the creative process的例子 (Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo)。 

文章中開發創造力的建議很受用：
 Build a Better Brain
1. Explore unfamiliar area of knowledgle.
2. Spend time each day thinking.
3. Practice the art of paying attention.
4. Use your imagination.

 Nurture Creativity in Children (也可運用於班級經營及教學)

心中仍有許多不解！
Why Everest?今天看了Reader's Digest March, 2007中的一篇文章：
LEFT FOR DEAD (related stories)
有幾句話讓心中的疑惑得到解答：
1. The allure of the world's highest peak is so great, he knows,
    climbers will continue to gamble everything for a few minutes
    at the top.
2. It's such a personal challenge-
    once you're up there, you feel as though you could do anything.

繪本內容：一隻公雞想要見見天地之大，展開探險之旅，沿途有些好奇的朋友
　　　　　紛紛加入（two cats, three frogs, four turtles,five fish)，但
             由於他的探險缺乏規劃，既沒有food也沒有shelter，因此一同探險
　　　　　的隊友紛紛告退，傷心的公雞只好打道回府，在夢中環遊世界。
教學應用：可適合教數字、認識動物、學習加法及減法
簡單的故事，但也可以引發我們思考「家」的可貴和「朋友」的定義。
