1.要尊重你的聽眾 (Respect your audience)
演說前，要做些功課，才能說得恰如其分。
也要注意發音，並弄清楚名字。

2.要有自知之明 (Know yourself)
要清楚自己演說的優勢和劣勢。
可以用些演說技巧，讓語言表達更吸引聽眾傾聽。
演說著重於耳聽，和用來閱讀的文章不同。
因此可以用alliteration (押頭韻)來吸引注意力(attention-grabbing)

重複能讓演說更有力
但是重複要得宜，
3次為magic number:
one---establish the subject
two---create a pattern
three---give a surprise
也要在演說中加入humor和fun，
加入stories或anecdotes，
演說不要落俗套，
要 different、unpredictable、enjoyable，
演說不只是
art and science，
更也是magic。
