超好看!
 Diary of a Wimpy Kid系列的書名，都能以簡要的idiom，點出故事的主軸。
以cabin fever來說，搭配書的封面插圖，
就能感受"being snowed in"的情境。
(困在雪中，無奈、不安的處境)

感覺很不一樣。
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever的內容，
感覺更能觸及目前的一些熱門的議題：

當然，作者Jeff Kinney並不是嚴肅地探討這些議題，
而是以較幽默、有趣的方式呈現，
給予讀者思考、想像的空間。
由於Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever是冬季為場景，
因此，整本書以聖誕節為主軸，
並穿插不少的Greg校園及家庭中的糗事，
其中Greg為了想賺錢買線上寵物遊戲點數而惹出風波，
及一場暴風雪，
讓聖誕節原本應有的歡樂氣氛，
籠罩著一股不安、猜疑 、害怕、無奈的氛圍。
可喜的是，
歷經考驗，
Greg一家人終能過一個意想不到的歡樂聖誕節。

在閱讀Diary of a Wimpy Kid系列時，
我也常會留意一些比較口語、道地的英語，
增添學習語言的趣味。
以下舉幾個例子：
1. 
Mom hasn't started to use the threat of Santa as a way of letting Manny
to behave, but I'm sure she will soon. I don't think it's such a good 
strategy for keeping us in line, though. Because the second Christmas is over,
Mom doesn't have any real leverage. (p.10)

When Dad got home, we had to go out and buy five big bags of rock salt to melt
teh guy's driveway. So now, instead of having money in my pocket for all the hard
work, I'm twenty bucks in the hole. (p.79)

I guess the police eventually gave up, because after lunch Vice Principal stopped
calling kids down to the front office. So I finally feel like we're off the hook.
