uncommon reader相對應於common reader，點出故事的主角:The Queen of England。本書描述是女王迷上閱讀、悟出閱讀真義的虛擬故事，可以說是女王的書海中的探險。
閱讀本書感覺部分句子比較無法意會其意思，或是由於有些用字比較難/不普遍，或是有文化的隔閡(對英國的當代人物、歷史人物或文學著作不甚了解)，但這些並不妨礙閱讀的趣味性。
