Greg Heffley, a lean seven-grader in a new school, not very athletic or  honest, and also  a kid too concerned with his self-image

Halloween
Greg的難兄難弟Rowley Jefferson原本在Halloween要裝扮成a knight with a helmet and a shield and a real sword and everything,但是他的媽媽
She cut out a big hole in the front of the helmet so he could
see better, and covered him up in all this reflective tape. She made
him wear his winter coat underneath everything, and she replaced his sword with a glow stick.

Dad tried  to squirm out of it, but once Mom makes up her mind,
there's no way you can change it.

Manny and Jeremy wouldn't trick-or-treat at any houses wiith spooky decorations on them, so that ruled out pretty much every house on our block.

house (pp. 50-59),the wrestling unit (pp.76-93), the school play

p. 89

Then Dad said if I wanted a bench press, I should keep my fingers crossed for Christmas.

p. 167

When we tried to think up some jokes, we kind of hit a wall.

p. 189

In fact, now that I think of it, Rowley has been TOTALLY giving me the cold shoulder lately.

Diary  of a Wimpy Kid,
