根據《彭蒙惠英語Advanced》 September 2006

"The Art of Cliché"中註解為：
a comment that is very often and is therefore not interesting
意為「陳腐習語」；陳腔濫調
【例】
1. All's well that ends well.
   (一切皆大歡喜)
2. Fogive and forget.

3. go out and execute

4. make sure we 're all on the same page  
   (to understand and agree with what is being done or suggested)
